Anaheim California is a large city founded in 1857 and incorporated in 1870. Anaheim (2nd in land area for Orange County) is an exciting community with plenty of activity, Disneyland, Convention Center, Honda Center (home of the Anaheim Ducks) and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Angel’s Baseball).

Today the city of Anaheim derives a significant share of its economy from tourism. Anaheim has a diverse ethnic and racial population. Transportation includes the OCTA, 2 Rails and Freeway access with major Airports within close proximity. The city stretches from city of Cypress on the West to the Riverside County line. The eastern side of the city includes the largely master planned community of Anaheim Hills, the western side of the city encompasses mostly mature neighborhoods. The newest area of Anaheim being developed is the Platinum Triangle. The city includes a beautiful downtown
redevelopment area comprised of many of the original Anaheim homes and architecture recognized for its Historical value.

The History of Anaheim
The history of Anaheim, California, is quite interesting. There were 50 German families who founded Anaheim in 1857. Along the Santa “Ana” River they made their home “heim” (german for home) giving it the name Anaheim. In the early years grapes were the crop until an insect infestation destroyed it in the 1880’s at which time the changes were made to grow Walnuts, Lemons and of course Oranges. And all things changed when Walt Disney came to town in the mid 1950’s.

Education
Surrounded by many colleges/universities and trade schools - there are plenty to choose from. Within close proximity you’ll find Cal State University of Fullerton, Chapman University, University of California Irvine, Concordia University, and many Junior Colleges.

Hospitals and Care

Anaheim is home to 3+ hospitals (Western Medical, Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente) along with numerous surgical centers. A wide variety of services and choices exist in our community.

There is so much to do and see in Anaheim making it a great place to live.
